What makes a man stay up for hours on end absorbed in some task? The straight answer to that question is passion. And I have some real-life examples/demonstrations of passion around me. My father is a classic example. A scholarly man, who is also ironically a craftsman. Artisans are usually regarded as less than their contemporaries because they usually work with their hands. This prejudice while unfounded is perpetuated because most people who are artisans are usually unskilled  (referring to a lack of a college education thereof). But even as far as artisans are concerned, there is an elite group that has separated themselves from the crowd. Painters, designers, visual artists, photographers e.t.c.All of them, craftspeople. With Christmas time approaching, we bought two chickens, and the strange thing about them was that they both had very different personalities. You might think I’m loony when I say this, but I’m not. They looked like twins the two chickens. They both were a creamy color, with brown bands around them, and they had all the fluffiness associated with chickens. And for the life of me, I couldn’t decipher which one of them was male or female, and honestly, I couldn’t care less. They both had combs though. He is quite well to do, very handsome, and has the body of Apollo himself. He literally had all the girls fall head over heels for him. Then I came along. Never before has it been so easy to access information. With the advent of the internet, there has been an exponential increase in the consumption and output of information in the form of blog posts articles in digital magazines, you name it. And some still find a way to do as little reading as possible. The importance of information (or knowledge), cannot be overemphasized. Knowledge is what helps us live better, think better, and indeed help us make better decisions. While I do agree that everyone is different, and processes information differently, I’m also inclined to make an argument in favor of reading. Reading helps us form opinions about things, helps us come into another person’s experience(s). It helps us broaden our horizons, and transcend cultural, social and geographical boundaries. Success. Everyone wants it, but it seems to elude many. I quit my 9-5 in a bid to start my online business and haven’t been so successful. I’m going to share some of my mistakes with you so you can avoid them. 2018 has been a very enlightening year for me. I have learned a whole lot of things, as a result of some of the mistakes I’ve made. Whenever she would direct it to me, I would try very hard not to laugh, because I always wondered what the mail would be about. There’s nothing interesting about my ass. It’s like a brick wall.                    If you ask me, it seems that not enough men pay attention to the emotional wellbeing of the women in their lives.  For some, it might be plain ignorance. For others, it’s just plain insensitivity. While this uncaring tendency may seem intentional, a lot of the time it isn’t. You see genetically, men are wired in a way that allows them to be providers and protectors. To function in this capacity, they have to process information in real time and logically come to conclusions based on the information their senses give them. Conversely, women are wired to be caregivers and are wired to function in that capacity as well. They are attuned to the emotional signals that people around them may give out. They are also much more intuitive feelers than men are. However, this is not to imply that women are incapable of logic. In fact, some of the most intelligent and productive women I know are women.                            It’s a new word that has fast become trendy and ubiquitous. Sapiosexual. When I first came across the word, I assumed it was a word that defined a person’s sexual orientation. On the contrary, it’s a term that defines a part of a person’s sexuality, which is what turns a person on, or what one finds to be the most attractive trait of another person. Sapiosexual is a neologism word coined from the Latin root words sapiens, meaning wise, and sexaulis, relating to the sexes. When I discovered the meaning of the word, it was an ‘aha!’ moment for me, because I have always wondered why all of the girls I have always found to be attractive, always had a streak of intelligence running through them.
